Heritage Youth Ambassadors (HYAs) will act as the “voice of youth” of the TCCH. They are selected from a diverse group of committed and inspiring youth who are leading efforts to promote and preserve the rich and diverse cultural heritage in Cyprus. This initiative will contribute to building the next generation of young people from all living in Cyprus that will be custodians for shared cultural heritage of the island.

The role of the Heritage Youth Ambassadors is to reach out to young generations of the island and raise awareness about the preservation of cultural heritage and the monuments of Cyprus, engage young people in activities and events of the TCCH, share stories and pictures about cultural heritage on social media, as well as undertaking monitoring visits to monuments that have been preserved and protected. Moreover, HYAs will have opportunities to share their ideas and implement engagement activities between the Greek Cypriots and the Turkish Cypriots. Finally, HYAs provide valuable feedback during the development of digital tools and resources thus making these more relevant and accessible to young people.
