Sotos Ktoris holds BA and MA degrees in Turkish History and Politics from the University of Cyprus and an MA degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Nicosia. He received his PhD in Turkish and Middle Eastern Studies, in 2011, from the University of Cyprus. Ktoris has worked for more than fifteen years in the field of Human Rights and International Protection. He has published widely on the history of the relations of the two communities in Cyprus and on the peace processes regarding the settlement of the Cyprus issue. He has also been actively engaged in political activism aiming at the peaceful co-existence and cooperation of the two communities on the island. Ktoris has been an active member of the Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage for the last eight years, and since January 2022, he has been appointed as the Co-Chair of the Committee.
