The Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage has began implementing a digital heritage component which aims to digitize cultural heritage, provide online accessibility and digitally preserve the completed projects of the committee.

Under this component, the TCCH has successfully implemented a pilot digital heritage project for the Othello Tower in Famagusta. Results achieved through this pilot project include the creation of a 3D point cloud for Othello Tower, which was designed as a tool for students and professionals (using terrestrial laser scanning technology), a 360o Virtual Tour of Othello Tower (using 360o panoramic photography) and a multiplayer online game for Othello Tower.

Based on the successful results of this pilot project, the TCCH expanded its efforts to include the production of Virtual Tours for more of its completed projects as well as the creation of a platform which will host all the Virtual Tours of the TCCH completed projects.
